Accelerators and related technologies for Big Science Facilities

Strategic objective: development of key technologies to push for the Spanish involvement in the construction and operation of the DONES project, as well as other Big Science Facilities.

Foreseen activities:

Development of advanced control systems including a Virtual Plant model
Development of RF sources based on solid state amplifiers
Key components for Big Science facilities
- RF Superconducting cavities for high current accelerators
- Advanced magnets for particle accelerators
- Gamma and Neutronic shielding
- Liquid metals technologies
- Diagnostics for high current accelerators
