IFMIF-DONES took part in the 4th edition of the event “Opportunities for Young Researchers in Fusion and Accelerators”, organized by CIEMAT in collaboration with CDTI, INEUSTAR and Induciencia, and held in Madrid on 18 June. The event brought together representatives from institutions, major scientific infrastructures and companies in the sector, with the aim of presenting new career opportunities to the next generation of researchers.

The round table focused on researchers’ experience in the science industry featured the participation of our colleague María Luque, who provided the project’s professional perspective and highlighted the real opportunities that this infrastructure is already creating in Granada. Following her intervention, Luque received strong interest from attendees regarding IFMIF-DONES and the career opportunities it offers.

Building on the success of previous editions, the event welcomed students from secondary education, vocational training, undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral programmes interested in fusion, as well as leading companies in the science industry, research centres, and universities. The initiative helped raise awareness of the employment opportunities expected to emerge in this sector in the coming years.
