Andalusian industry to explore IFMIF-DONES opportunities for Big Science in Seville

The Seville Chamber of Commerce will host a conference on 24 September focused on the opportunities that the IFMIF-DONES project offers to large-scale industry.
The event, organised by the Industry Office, the Spanish Space Agency, and the Chambers of Commerce of Seville and Granada, will bring together institutional representatives, experts and companies interested in participating in this international scientific infrastructure, considered strategic for advancing fusion energy and strengthening Spain’s industrial positioning within Europe.
During the session, the potential of IFMIF-DONES to generate new business opportunities will be highlighted, particularly in sectors such as engineering, advanced construction, component manufacturing and technological services.
The opening session will feature Francisco Javier Moreno Muruve, First Vice President of the Seville Chamber of Commerce; Loreto del Valle, Director General for Research Planning of the Andalusian Regional Government; Roberto Álvarez, Head of Innovation and Digital Transformation at the Granada Chamber of Commerce; and a representative from the Spanish Space Agency.
