‘DONES’, a rap to transmit the energy of fusion to the younger generations
Posted on |

To transmit the energy of fusion to new audiences. This is the goal of the collective ‘Women in DONES’ (WiD). And they have achieved it through music.
Thanks to the collaboration of singer, rapper, and composer Sandra Quero Alba (sandra333sb), with the production of Bezea, the song ‘DONES’ was created.
On the occasion of the International Day of Women and Science, a video clip was released showing the work done by WiD women in different environments and disciplines.

For Sandra Quero, the experience of recording ‘DONES’ has been ‘very important because the lyrics and music created connect with the atmosphere of Science. The song conveys emotion, delicacy and power’. ‘It has been an intimate experience, like working in a laboratory, where first you are alone or with a small team and the result comes out and is shared with many people,’ she adds.
In her opinion, music ‘is a language, a language that everyone can understand, that creates emotion and awakens feelings in people’. Regarding the opportunity to combine Science and Culture, Sandra Quero points out that ‘when we make a cultural and scientific contribution, we are getting to know that society. For this reason, Science and Culture must go hand in hand’.
Finally, she is at the disposal of social, educational and scientific organisations and groups that want to transmit a message through music in order to reach new audiences.
