‘Challenges of AI at IFMIF-DONES’ was the title of the presentation given yesterday at the 2nd Artificial Intelligence Congress of Andalusia by Rubén Lorenzo, coordinator of Control and Instrumentation Systems at IFMIF-DONES.

His intervention focused on the challenges associated with implementing an AI to control and manage the control systems of the Escúzar particle accelerator.

These are complex systems that will require fast action to maintain a completely stable neutron flux. Therefore, it will be necessary to address challenges that have never been addressed before to develop an AI capable of managing the scientific infrastructure systems and thus establishing the desired neutron flux.
