PLM and Aras workshop held at the DONES Hub

On 30 September and 1 October, the DONES Hub hosted a dedicated workshop focused on the evolution and optimisation of the Aras Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) platform. The event brought together members of the DONES Team, representatives from Aras, and experts from T-Systems, the implementation partner supporting the deployment and development of the platform. Discussions focused on current challenges, ongoing issues and the roadmap for future improvements.

Over two intensive days of collaboration, participants reviewed the current status of the PLM environment and explored the developments required to support the next phases of the IFMIF-DONES project. Key topics included requirements and interface management, CAD integration, document management, user experience, and the potential application of artificial intelligence within the Aras ecosystem. The common objective was to ensure that the platform continues to evolve in line with project needs and to maximize the value it provides to all stakeholders.

The workshop also provided an excellent opportunity to strengthen collaboration between the different teams involved in the digital transformation of the project, fostering the exchange of ideas, identifying areas for improvement, and defining a shared path forward.

We would like to thank all participants for their commitment, professionalism, and valuable contributions throughout the workshop. Special thanks go to the teams from Aras and T-Systems, who travelled from different locations to work side by side with the DONES team. Their dedication and expertise are essential to the successful evolution of the PLM platform and to supporting the long-term objectives of the IFMIF-DONES project.
