The Centre for the Development of Industrial Technology (CDTI) includes IFMIF-DONES in its catalogue of Spanish Capacities in Large Scientific Facilities

The new version of the catalogue is an asset for the promotion of Granada’s candidacy

The Centre for the Development of Industrial Technology (CDIT) has issued its catalogue of Spanish Capacities in Large Scientific Facilities. This document collects information of Spain’s industry capacities as suppliers of the cutting-edge technologies required by national and international scientific infrastructure in the fields of particle physics, astronomy, and fusion. Such technologies require a high degree of specialisation such as precision machining, advanced materials fabrication, radiofrequency, magnets, cryogenics, and vacuum systems, as well as information and communication technologies.

This issue includes 84 Spanish entities with demonstrated industrial capacities in science industry. It contains information about the main national research infrastructures in the fields of particle physics, astronomy, and fusion, and the most significant projects, among which the IFMIF-DONES particle accelerator is listed.

CDTI considers the catalogue an asset for the promotion of Granada’s candidacy to host IFMIF-DONES. It is also the reference manual to demonstrate the capacities of the Spain’s industry in the next Big Science Business Forum organised by CDTI, which will take place from September 28 to October 1, 2021 in Granada.

This catalogue was produced by CDTI, with the participation of the Industry Science Technology Platform, INDUCIENCIA.
