IFMIF-DONES recognised as an Ambassador by Granada Convention Bureau

Our Director, Moisés Weber, received the Granada Convention Bureau (GCB) Ambassador Award on 19 October, presented to IFMIF-DONES in recognition of its contribution to promoting Granada as a destination of excellence, knowledge and inspiration. The ceremony paid tribute to 68 professionals and organisations whose work helps establish the city and province of Granada as a leading destination for scientific, academic and professional meetings.

The event was supported by the institutions that make up GCB: Granada City Council, represented by its Mayor, Marifran Carazo Villalonga; the Granada Chamber of Commerce, represented by its President, Gerardo Cuerva; the University of Granada, represented by its Rector, Pedro Mercado Pacheco; and the Provincial Council of Granada. Patricia del Pozo, Regional Minister for Culture of the Andalusian Regional Government, also attended as a representative of a co-organising institution, alongside other authorities.

The evening brought together members of the GCB Committee of Experts, representing more than 150 member companies whose professionalism and experience strengthen Granada’s reputation as a MICE destination (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions).

During the event, Granada Convention Bureau symbolically expressed its support for Granada’s bid to become European Capital of Culture 2031, a collective commitment to showcasing the cultural richness, creativity and talent of Granada and its province on the international stage.
