The Kick-off Meeting (KoM) of the AMDF contract, held on 24 July at the Palacio de Quinta Alegre, the institutional headquarters of the IFMIF-DONES España Consortium, marks the beginning of the construction supervision services for the international scientific facility being built in Escúzar (Granada, Spain).

 

The meeting represents the starting point of a new phase for IFMIF-DONES. Coinciding with the start of construction works during the summer period, the launch of the construction supervision services will provide technical oversight and support throughout the execution of the works, ensuring that they are carried out in accordance with the highest standards of quality, safety and efficiency.

 

The AMDF contract has been awarded to TYPSA, one of Spain’s leading engineering, consulting and professional services companies. With a strong international presence and extensive experience in major infrastructure, energy, transport, building and technology projects, TYPSA brings to IFMIF-DONES a proven track record in the management and supervision of highly complex developments.

 

In carrying out these services, TYPSA will work in collaboration with Egis, a globally recognised engineering, consulting and infrastructure management group. Known for delivering innovative and sustainable solutions in large-scale strategic projects around the world, Egis will contribute its expertise to the development of a unique facility that will support the advancement of fusion energy.

Following the completion of key design, planning and preparation activities, the programme continues to advance according to schedule, reinforcing its transition into the construction phase.
