The IFMIF-DONES facilities in Escúzar were part of the visit made to Granada by the Board of Directors of the German Chamber of Commerce for Spain (AHK Spanien) on 13 and 14 November. The visit, promoted by Osmar Polo, President and CEO of T-Systems Iberia, and Mischa Groh, Managing Director, reinforces Granada’s position as a hub of innovation and an attractive city for international investment. It also aligns with the drive behind major science-technology projects such as IFMIF-DONES.
“Granada is ready to lead strategic projects with a European ambition, and we will continue building alliances that drive growth, jobs, and the future of the city,” said Mayor Marifrán Carazo during the official reception at Granada City Hall. Representing IFMIF-DONES at this institutional meeting were Moisés Weber, Deputy Director, and José Aguilar, Head of the DONES Programme Management Office.
The German Chamber, which brings together more than 1,100 Spanish and German companies, traditionally invites its Board of Directors to explore business ecosystems that are key to the development of bilateral economic relations.
The delegation included companies such as Merck in Spain, Volkswagen Group España Distribución, Freudenberg España, Siemens España, MAN Truck & Bus Iberia, LIDL España, Messer Ibérica, GFT Consulting, Allianz España, Henkel Ibérica, TÜV SÜD, BASF Española, Commerzbank in Spain, and Sparber Group, along with representatives of the German Embassy and institutions linked to dual vocational training.
