Ivan Podadera
Biography
For the last twenty years I have been involved in research in particle accelerator technology. First at CERN in Geneva, where I developed my doctoral thesis on ion traps, and later worked on accelerator diagnostics. Then I moved to CIEMAT in Madrid as a Senior Scientist. I worked on the IFMIF-DONES prototype, the Japanese LIPAc accelerator, for which I was responsible for the design, construction and testing of its medium energy line and some of the beam diagnostics. Also at CIEMAT I collaborated in other accelerator projects, such as a cyclotron for the production of radioisotopes for medical imaging. At IFMIF-DONES in Granada I am in charge of coordinating the activities of a particle accelerator that will be unique in its typology.
