The DONES Local Forum successfully held its follow-up meeting on 14 November at the Palacio de Quinta Alegre. The director of the IFMIF-DONES España Consortium Spain, Ángel Ibarra, presented the latest developments in the scientific infrastructure to the attendees.

Among other topics, he alluded to the current state of negotiations with other countries for their collaboration in the project, the arrival in Escúzar of several technological prototypes, the participation in international and national forums and the increase in equipment.

Ibarra announced that the next few years will be very important for the development of IFMIF-DONES and that Granada will host several top-level scientific events throughout 2025.

This session of the Local Forum was attended by representatives of the Granada City Council, Government Subdelegation, Junta de Andalucía, University of Granada, Granada Provincial Council, Escúzar City Council, Chamber of Commerce, Confederación Granadina de Empresarios, Citai, CCOO, UGT, Partido Popular de Granada, PSOE de Granada, IU of the province of Granada and Parque de las Ciencias.
