Record participation in the 2nd R+DONES Forum

More than 200 companies will participate in the 2nd R+DONES Forum, held on 10 and 11 April in Granada. This figure far exceeds that achieved in the last edition, which had 160 registered participants. It should also be noted that 90% of the participants come from outside the province of Granada. “It is clear that IFMIF-DONES is already attracting national and international interest,” said the mayoress of Granada, Marifrán Carazo, during the conference presentation.

The director of the IFMIF-DONES España Consortium, Ángel Ibarra, said that the aim of the forum is “to explain to the industry the challenges we face so that they can help us to solve them. This type of event serves to maximise the industrial impact that the location of our project will have”.

Ignacio Cuerva, president of the Industry and Energy Commission of the Chamber of Commerce, emphasised the opportunity for companies in Granada to participate in a Big Science project such as IFMIF-DONES: “The particle accelerator will be a long window of time during which there will be many business opportunities that we must take advantage of”.

IFMIF-DONES, Industry Office and CDTI organise the II Foro I+DONES and has the collaboration of the Chamber of Commerce of Granada, INEUSTAR, Granada City Council, University of Granada, Granada Provincial Council, Escúzar City Council, CIEMAT and Induciencia.
