IFMIF-DONES, protagonist at the meeting of the Motril Chamber of Commerce Club before 300 businessmen

Moisés Weber, Director of the IFMIF-DONES España Consortium, spoke on 3 July at the Motril Chamber Club Meeting, which brought together 300 business leaders. The President of the Motril Chamber of Commerce, Julio Rodríguez Martín-Feriche, thanked Weber for his participation and highlighted the industrial boost that the particle accelerator will bring to the province’s economy.

“It may seem like the kind of project you would expect to find in London or New York, yet it is here, in the Vega of Granada, surrounded by olive groves. And it is here because Granada made it happen. When we called, everything was in place within days: the university, businesses and institutions, all pulling in the same direction“, he said during his speech.

The Motril Chamber of Commerce currently represents nearly 400 companies, making it one of the largest business associations in the province.

“IFMIF-DONES is not only a scientific project; it is also a unique opportunity for companies in Granada to take part in a world-class research infrastructure. Their involvement has been instrumental in bringing the project to this point and will continue to be essential in driving innovation, generating knowledge and creating high-value employment”, Weber added.
