IFMIF-DONES PLM Framework Agreement progresses as planned with new contracts underway
Posted on |

The Framework Agreement for the procurement of software licenses and services for the design, implementation, configuration, and upgrading of the Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system at IFMIF-DONES is progressing very positively, consolidating its role as a key element in the project’s digital and organizational transformation.
Following the successful completion of the first specific contract (CB01), which established the technical and organizational foundations of the PLM platform, Contracts CB02 and CB03 are now underway. These contracts ensure the continued deployment of the system, as well as its operation, support, and further development.
T-Systems, the main contractor awarded under the Framework Agreement, continues to work closely with IFMIF-DONES teams in this new phase. This includes both functional support and system enhancements (CB02), as well as infrastructure maintenance and PLM licensing (CB03), ensuring the platform’s stability, scalability, and long-term availability.
A key system for IFMIF-DONES technical management
The progressive implementation of the PLM system is essential for IFMIF-DONES, as it enables the structured and integrated management of engineering data, technical documentation, system configuration, and collaboration with national and international partners and suppliers. This shared environment is crucial for addressing the technical and organizational complexity of a large-scale scientific and technological project such as IFMIF-DONES.
Strong support from ERDF funding
The progress of this Framework Agreement and its associated contracts is made possible thanks to funding from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), channelled through the DONES TOPS and DONES BASE agreements. These European funds play a decisive role in equipping the project with the digital tools needed to strengthen its management capacity, efficiency, and long-term sustainability.
With the parallel execution of CB02 and CB03, IFMIF-DONES takes another step forward in consolidating its digital ecosystem, reaffirming its commitment to technical excellence, responsible management of public resources, and the achievement of strategic objectives linked to European funding.
