IFMIF-DONES has participated for the second consecutive year in Science Week, the largest annual scientific dissemination event at the European level. The Faculty of Science of the University of Granada hosted this new edition on 6 November.

Three doctoral students from the IFMIF-DONES project gave an informative talk on nuclear fusion, the particle accelerator and its medical applications.

The students from Andalusian high schools, from 3rd ESO to 1st Bachillerato, could hear first-hand what this revolutionary project for Granada and Andalusia would consist of.

In addition, they could participate with their questions and through various interactive activities in which they understood physical concepts such as the crystalline structure of a solid or the primary mechanism by which the Sun obtains its energy, nuclear fusion.
