Granada will host an international workshop on training for Big Scientific Organisations

The Carmen de la Victoria at the University of Granada will host on 13 November 2025 the international workshop “Training for and with Major Scientific Organizations: Establishing a Big Science Masterclass Programme”, an event that will also be held in hybrid format (on-site and online).

The workshop will address a key challenge for the future of European science: how can we better prepare the next generation to work in and with major scientific organisations such as Fusion for Energy, CERN, IFMIF-DONES, CTAO, ENEA, and CDTI?

The goal of the meeting is to strengthen training and cooperation strategies among universities, research centers, and large scientific infrastructures, as well as to analyze emerging career pathways within the international Big Scienceecosystem.

The opening lecture will be delivered by Leonardo Biagioni (Fusion for Energy-F4E). The program will also feature a thematic session on establishing a Big Science Masterclass programme and a round table discussing training needs and professional opportunities in the sector.

Speakers will include representatives from leading institutions such as Fusion for Energy, Università degli Studi di Trieste, CERN, Università degli Studi di Genova, IFMIF-DONES, CTAO, ENEA, CDTI, and the University of Granada, among others.

Registration is available here.
