Granada hosts a workshop on funding and international technological cooperation

Granada has hosted the information day “Funding instruments and services for international technological cooperation”, an event organised by CDTI, Andalucía TRADE and the Granada Chamber of Commerce with the aim of bringing funding and collaboration opportunities in R&D&I closer to companies.

The event, held at the Digital Business Hub of the Granada Chamber of Commerce, brought together professionals, companies and stakeholders from the innovation ecosystem interested in promoting technology projects with an international dimension.

The session began with an institutional welcome moderated by Antonio Palanco (Andalucía TRADE), followed by a comprehensive programme of presentations focused on key innovation support instruments. Among them, CDTI programmes for international technological cooperation were presented, including multilateral, bilateral and unilateral initiatives, by Ángeles Valbuena, Head of the Department for External Technological Action.

The agenda also highlighted capacity building in the field of Big Science, with a presentation by Ana Belén del Cerro, as well as funding opportunities under the Innoglobal FEDER 2026 call, presented by Mayda de Pablo.

The event also featured a practical case study from Ana Leticia Jiménez, R&D Director at Inves Biofarm, who shared her experience in implementing CDTI-funded projects. After a networking break, the programme continued with sessions focused on strengthening the connection between industry and science, delivered by Roberto Álvarez (Industry Office), as well as on Andalucía TRADE incentives for industrial development, R&D&I projects and business internationalisation.

In addition, Björn Marcel Jürgens presented the services of the Enterprise Europe Network, highlighting its role in supporting the internationalisation of innovative companies.

The event concluded with a planned visit to the IFMIF-DONES facilities in Escúzar, offering attendees a unique opportunity to gain first-hand insight into one of the most relevant scientific infrastructures in the European landscape.
