Continuing to define Croatia’s contribution to IFMIF-DONES

Granada hosted a working meeting between the IFMIF-DONES España Consortium, the Croatian Commission appointed for this purpose and the project’s MWG (Mobilization Working Group), led by Philippe Cara. The meeting, held from 5 to 7 June, took place within the framework of the agreement (MoU) signed between the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Croatia and the Ministry of Science and Innovation of the Kingdom of Spain.
The Croatian delegation was led by Tonci Tadic, a leading member of the Ruder Boskovic Institute (RBI), who was accompanied by representatives of the Croatian Institute of Physics (IFS) and the Croatian Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture (FAMENA).
During the three working days, the participants worked together to prepare the technical specifications of the IFMIF-DONES components to be supplied by Croatia. Specifically, the HROC and ACMC cranes, the Secondary and Tertiary Lithium Loops; and the High Energy Transmission Line (HEBT) TIR module, and the TIR module included in the High Energy Beam Transport (HEBT) Line.
The two delegations will meet again in the coming weeks in accordance with the meeting schedule to complete the tasks assigned to this working group.
