Implementation of CDTI contracts to develop fusion energy validators begins

On 13 January, the execution of the CDTI Innovation Pre-commercial Public Procurement contracts for developing systems and materials validators in fusion energy began with IFMIF-DONES.
The purpose of this PPP contract is the development of Integrated Technology Validators for Accelerator systems (VATIAC) and Test Area Systems (VATIST), which will allow the Consortium to perform long-term tests on critical systems and components useful for the future large international scientific facility IFMIF-DONES.
The tender budget was EUR 40 million and the execution period was 40 months.
The contracts were divided into 2 lots:
– LOT 1 (VATIAC): 27.000.000 Eur (+VAT)
– LOT 2 (VATIST): 13,000,000 Eur (+VAT)
