Loreto Valenzuela, honoured at the 6th Granada Awards for Female Entrepreneurship and Leadership

Loreto Valenzuela Gutiérrez, engineer and scientist at IFMIF-DONES España Consortium, has received the Special Mention from the Andalusian Women Leaders Forum during the 6th Granada Awards for Female Entrepreneurship and Leadership ceremony, held yesterday in Motril and organised by the Motril City Council, Combo Comunicación and the Association of Municipalities of the Costa Tropical.

These awards recognise professional careers that promote equal opportunities and empowerment while making a significant social contribution. Alongside Valenzuela, other honourees included Mercedes García Puerta (Grupo La Caña) for her professional career; Eva Sánchez Rodríguez (Innoplant) for her innovative female-led project; Sonia Hidalgo Rubia in the Sports category; Sara Sánchez in Culture; and Almudena Rivadeneyra Torres (University of Granada) in Science and Technology.

The ceremony was closed by the Deputy for Equality and Co-responsibility, María del Carmen Reinoso, who highlighted: “We have celebrated the talent of Granada’s women, their leadership, their often invisible efforts, and above all their immense ability to open pathways for future generations. Each of the women recognised this afternoon represents a story of perseverance, commitment and courage.”
