The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) has published a special issue on IFMIF-DONES in the prestigious scientific platform IOP Science. The guest editors for this publication were Ángel Ibarra (IFMIF-DONES and CIEMAT, Spain), Davide Bernardi (ENEA, Italy), Wojciech Krolas (IFJ-PAN, Poland), and Shinichi Ishida (QST, Japan).

This special issue presents the current status of IFMIF-DONES engineering and the planned capabilities of this milestone facility. It includes 15 articles that focus on different key aspects of the project, offering both new and significant insights, as well as a comprehensive overview of the various topics.
