Moisés Weber, Deputy Director of the IFMIF-DONES España Consortium, took part in the Opportunities Day for Young Researchers in Fusion, held on June 19 at the Faculty of Education of UNED in Madrid (Spain). CDTI, CIEMAT, INEUSTAR, and Induciencia organised the event.

The event aimed to connect master’s and PhD students, as well as early-career researchers in the field of fusion, with the most relevant institutions in the Big Science industry, offering visibility to the employment opportunities expected in the sector in the coming years. It provided students and young researchers with the opportunity to learn firsthand about the professional paths available in this field.

The day was divided into two main parts: first, three roundtable discussions were held; afterwards, representatives from the participating organisations met with young researchers interested in conducting individual interviews.
