Instrumentation for IFMIF-DONES at ANIMMA 2025

IFMIF-DONES engineer Pablo Araya took part in the 9th International Conference on Advancements in Nuclear Instrumentation Measurement Methods and their Applications (ANIMMA 2025), held in Valencia, Spain, from June 9 to 13.

This international conference brought together experts from around the world to discuss the latest developments in nuclear instrumentation and measurement methods.

Araya’s contribution consisted of a scientific poster presenting the results of detection tests carried out using a micro ionisation chamber (μIC) operating in current mode, explicitly developed for the IFMIF-DONES project. These tests were conducted under pulsed radiation conditions at the LIPAc accelerator in Rokkasho, Japan.

In addition to the poster presentation, the work was also accepted for the “Intensive-Oral” session, where Araya delivered a brief oral presentation to promote the study to the international scientific community.
