The Director of the IFMIF-DONES España Consortium, Ángel Ibarra, participated on June 5–6 in the Future Trends Forum dedicated to fusion energy, under the title “Fusion Forward: Powering a Clean Energy Future”, organized by the Bankinter Innovation Foundation.

Over the course of two days, around thirty national and international experts reflected on key topics for the sector, including the current state of fusion technology, its integration into the energy system, spillover technologies, regulatory frameworks, talent development, industrial capabilities, and funding and collaboration models.

In addition to Ángel Ibarra, other participants included Carlos Alejaldre, Carlos Hidalgo, Gianfranco Federici, Pablo Rodríguez-Fernández, Manuel García-Muñoz, Susana Reyes, Richard Pearson, Klaus Hesch, Diego Cammarano, Frederick Bordry, Phil Larochelle, Rory Scott Russell, and Eden Shochat, among others.
