A delegation from IFMIF-DONES recently visited CERN, within the framework of the two scientific organisations’ existing collaboration. The meetings were to deepen aspects of safety design and the development of common technologies.

The meetings covered a wide range of technical topics, such as plant systems, dynamic confinement, fire protection, waste management, safety control systems, calibration/dosimetry, and “Hot Cell” designs.

In addition, IFMIF-DONES representatives had the opportunity to visit facilities such as ISOLDE-MEDICIS, Calibration Center or the Waste Management Plant.
