The director of the DONES Xcitech School, Blanca Biel, makes a very positive balance of the third edition held between April 6 and 11 in Dubrovnik (Croatia): “This edition has been very special for us. For the first time we left Granada and held the school in Dubrovnik, and the experience could not have been more positive”. The change of venue has had an added value not only for the environment, but also for the boost it has meant to strengthen ties between Spain and Croatia, a country that is part of the international consortium that promotes IFMIF-DONES “We were clear that this was an opportunity to strengthen institutional and scientific relations, and we believe it has been more than achieved,” adds Biel.
As for the development of the school, the conclusions are also very positive. “We have had a very active participation and a very high level of satisfaction, both on the part of the students and the speakers themselves,” he stresses. The school has brought together 18 speakers from 9 different countries and 31 participants from 10 countries, which has generated an international and very enriching environment. “The technical content was of high quality, but so was the human atmosphere. This combination of scientific excellence and personal closeness is what gives the Xcitech School its identity, and in this edition, without a doubt, it has shone”, he concludes.
The Croatian press also echoed the 3rd DONES Xcitech School: https://dalmatinskiportal.hr/zivot/dubrovnik-od-povijesnog-grada-do-platforme-za-razvoj-karijera-mladih-u-fuzijskoj-tehnologiji/232861
